The Division collaborates with a range of scientific, business and clinical advisors in developing ontologies, methodologies, studies, and tools to answer the question - how can informatics systems most effectively advance care delivery? DMIS' starting set of core principles in response to this question, (which include distributed evidence, cognitive potency, complexity informatics and Internet-assisted intelligence) are discussed in its article series, "Medical Informatics Review."
