Informed Clinical Sciences Corp. (IC Sciences Corp.) Appoints Anne Marie Biernacki as Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer IC Sciences Corp. and Executive Director, Emergent Intelligence Lab (EI Lab)
Boston, MA - (June 25th, 2007) IC Sciences, Corp., a Medical Information Sciences and Informed Clinical Technology Company, announces that Anne Marie Biernacki has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of IC Sciences Corp., and Executive Director, of Emergent Intelligence Lab (EI Lab).
Ms. Biernacki is a career entrepreneur with more than 17 years of start-up experience and was named one of 10 "Women to Watch for 2005" by Mass High Tech. Prior to joining IC Sciences, she was CTO, VP Technical Operations for Peak8 Solutions, responsible for analyst relations and transitioning and integrating the customer base, operations, and intellectual property from Digiticians, which was acquired by Peak8 in 2006. At Digiticians, Ms. Biernacki was CTO and co-founder. Digiticians was an early mover IT support and web services company providing IT infrastructure automation to the digital home market, leveraging Open Source and SaaS approaches.
Ms. Biernacki also served as VP/CTO of FuelSpot, a web services B-to-B spot market exchange and supply chain enabler in the energy products sector. Before FuelSpot, she was a founding team member of Avicenna / Care InSite, an e-Health transaction and services pioneer eventually purchased by Healtheon / Web MD. She held various product development roles over the company's evolution. She has consulted to numerous Federal research programs for companies including The Analytic Sciences Corporation (TASC) and Photon Research Associates. Ms Biernacki has also been actively engaged in small entrepreneurial ventures commercializing optical signal processing technologies through the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant program.
Ms. Biernacki has been active in XML and other standards and commerce initiatives for web services, and she has been a panelist, presenter, and coach with the Women's Enterprise Initiative and past participant in the Springboard venture forum. She holds a Masters degree with additional graduate work in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and was a Draper Fellow at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory.
